Ice-out May Be Late This Year



Ice-out on Lake Winnipesaukee may be later that usual this year.
Ice-out occurs when the winter ice covering hte lake melts enough to allow the M/S Mount Washington cruise ship to navigate between Alton Bay, Center Harbor, Wiers Beach, Meredith and Wolfboro.

In addition Watermark Marine Construdtion sent a letter to all it's customers warning them that ice-out may be late. That could cause a delay in satisfying all their customer's service requests on time as projects get backed up,. 
For the last five years, Ice-out has occurred as follows:
2009 - April 12, 2010 - March 24, 2011 - April 19, 2012 - March 23, 2013 - April 17.

41 Members Attend Spring Luncheon



On March 02, 2019, members enjoyed lunch with fellow islanders at the Lyon's Den in Gilford and heard about the state of Winnipesaukee's water quality.  The talk was presented by Pat Tarpey, Executive Director of the Lake Winnipesaukee Association.
